![]() Oxford Dynamics with its serial chained effects and mainly its dedicated controls doesn't really have much alternatives. I guess it's ownership's guilt for not upgrading. Which is why I'm curious.I feel like I could easily continue to live without them. The limiter is punchy but can introduce a lot of distortion compared to Elephant or Pro L.ĭynamics is pretty cool, but again there are better, cheaper, non ilok tools with more flexibility, better interfaces and better maintained updates.ĭMG Audio Essence stomps all over Supressor and is nearly half the sonnox's regular price!ĬonundraAgreed on all the alternatives. The eq is nice but equilibrium has it's curves and a lot more besides. It works on a lot of things because it's pretty neutral. The "effect" is just a dry wet! Not sure why Mr Frindle isn't more open about it's simplicity, there's not a lot to it. I've nulled it to -64db with cable guys free waveshaper (cm edition). I use the inflator a lot but a developer friend of mine told me it's just a waveshaper and I'm afraid it's true. They are great but are replaceable with better and cheaper tools these days.
